Some workloads should never leave your organization — regulated data, latency-sensitive systems, the crown jewels. Others need to scale the moment traffic spikes. The hybrid cloud model exists so you don't have to choose between the two: run a consistent cloud platform in your own data center, extend it into managed cloud capacity, and treat both as one. WECORE Hybrid Cloud delivers exactly that — but on an open, standards-based stack (OpenStack + Ceph) instead of proprietary virtualization, and packaged as a white-label Hub that carries your brand.

What is WECORE Hybrid Cloud?

WECORE Hybrid Cloud is one cloud platform running in two places — your premises and a WECORE stack dedicated to your organization — federated into a single, self-service control plane. Because both sides run the same open components, workloads and data move between them without re-platforming — standard Glance images and volume snapshots, not proprietary conversions — and you manage everything from one white-label panel. No translating between incompatible clouds, and no license you can't walk away from.

The WECORE Hub: a white-label control plane

At the center is the WECORE Hub — a white-label cloud-management panel that carries your brand, not ours. Your teams — or your own customers — get self-service provisioning, quotas and role-based access, transparent metering and billing, and the full WECORE catalog: Cloud Servers and Cloud GPU, Kubernetes-as-a-Service, object and block storage, and more — all on top of open OpenStack. For holdings, integrators, and service providers, that means you can offer a complete cloud under your own name without building the control plane yourself.

Three ways to plug into the Hub

Most organizations start with a fully managed install — WECORE stands up the platform and runs it. But you connect to the Hub in whichever way fits the infrastructure you already have:

  • Connect your OpenStack. Already running OpenStack? Point it at the WECORE Hub and light up the white-label panel and our product catalog on top of the cloud you already operate — no migration required.
  • Let us install the suite (recommended for most). WECORE deploys the full OpenStack + Ceph stack on your hardware and operates it for you as a managed infra-cloud service. You get a real private cloud without standing up and staffing a cloud-operations team.
  • Federate into a true hybrid. Federate your infrastructure with a WECORE-hosted stack dedicated to your organization — sensitive workloads stay in your own data center, elastic capacity lives in your private WECORE cloud, and the two run as one.

How the hybrid actually works

Rather than bridging two incompatible clouds, WECORE runs the same platform in both locations. Because your data center and your dedicated WECORE stack both run OpenStack and Ceph, we link them with Keystone-to-Keystone identity federation: one set of credentials and single sign-on across both clouds. Each side keeps its own projects, quotas, and resources — but the white-label Hub presents them together, so your team drives on-prem and WECORE from one panel.

Workloads cross the boundary the OpenStack-native way — you copy a Glance image or a volume snapshot across the two sites (via image export/import, or RBD mirroring for continuous replication) and re-launch it as a new instance on the other side, with no re-architecting. Keep the sensitive workloads local, extend the elastic ones into WECORE, and manage all of it from the same place.

Storage that follows your workloads: Ceph

Both sides share one storage philosophy: Ceph, a single software-defined storage cluster that serves block volumes (RBD) to your virtual machines, object storage (S3- and Swift-compatible) to your applications, and a shared file system (CephFS) to your workloads — all replicated across nodes for durability, with no proprietary array to license. And because both sides run Ceph, you can wire up cross-site replication between the two clusters — RBD mirroring for volumes, RGW multisite for object storage — as an explicit link, so your data stays portable by design.

Network functions as software, not hardware

Traditional infrastructure ties security and connectivity to physical boxes — an appliance here, another there — that you rack, license, and eventually outgrow. WECORE takes the NFV (Network Function Virtualization) route instead: the network functions your workloads need are delivered as software.

Routing, firewalling, load balancing, and VPN termination run as Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) — and containerized ones (CNFs) — orchestrated by OpenStack Tacker, the ETSI-MANO NFV orchestrator and VNF manager. Tacker handles their whole lifecycle: onboard from a descriptor, instantiate, monitor, heal, and scale — all from the same platform that runs your compute and storage. Combined with Neutron security groups and isolated tenant networks, you get defense in depth that scales elastically with your workloads, with nothing to ship, rack, or forklift-upgrade.

Why teams choose WECORE Hybrid Cloud

  • Data stays where it must. Keep regulated or sensitive workloads on your own infrastructure and extend only what you choose into your dedicated WECORE cloud.
  • Open, no lock-in. OpenStack and Ceph are open source and industry-standard — your architecture, images, and data are portable by design, with no proprietary format holding you hostage.
  • Your brand, your cloud. The white-label Hub lets you — or your customers — consume and resell cloud under your own name.
  • Dedicated, not shared. Your off-premises side is a stack dedicated to your organization, not a slice of a noisy multi-tenant pool.
  • Managed, if you want it. Let WECORE run the platform end-to-end, or connect the OpenStack you already operate — your call.
"You shouldn't have to choose between keeping data close and scaling fast — or between a private cloud and a public one. Hybrid means one open platform — on your own infrastructure and in ours, under your brand."

Whether you're a bank keeping core systems in-house, a holding company standardizing infrastructure across subsidiaries, or a service provider reselling cloud under your own brand, WECORE Hybrid Cloud gives you one open platform that spans both worlds. Connect your OpenStack, let us install the suite, or federate the two — and run your entire footprint from a single panel.
